The Ghanaian Catholic Community Berlin was established by Reverend Father Josef Rohrmayer in the year 2000 with about five Ghanaian families. The church gradually grew in numbers over the years till he went on pension in the year 2015. Reverend Father Stephen Duodu took over from him with the administration of the church as from 1st March 2016. The languages used during the church services are English and Twi. Currently, it has a population of about 350 up to 400 members; however, regular attendance ranges from 150 up to 250 every Sunday. The church is situated at Tempelhof, in Berlin, and worshiping on Sundays is done in the Ghanaian Catholic liturgical way.
Reverend Father Stephen Kwasi Duodu is the Parish Priest of the Ghanaian Catholic Community, Berlin. He belongs to the Catholic Diocese of Konongo-Mampong in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He was ordained on 4th August 2007. After his ordination, he served as a priest at Ashanti-Akim Agogo, Offinso Kyekyewere in the Ashanti Region in Ghana and then came to Germany and served also as a priest in Saarbrücken. He has been the Parish Priest of the Ghanaian Catholic Community and a German parish in Berlin since 1st March 2016.
